To stop and smell the roses in life is something that is becoming increasingly challenging against the backdrop of this political climate: from Palestine to Minnesota and all the other corners of earth where survival takes on a different meaning. If I stop to fully acknowledge the plethora of atrocities occurring at any given moment in the world, it’s hard not to start subscribing to Nihilism. But, the eternal optimist in me won’t go down without a fight; so here’s a list of 28 of my favourite things in the world in the spirit of gratitude and reflection.
